Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person, depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries and maintaining accurate patient records. Community Midwives
The midwife attached to our Practice is one of the local team of midwives who works with the doctors to guide and provide pregnancy advice and monitoring. Clinics are held twice weekly at the Practice. Please note that, at your first antenatal appointment (8-10weeks pregnant) the midwife will need to see you on your own for the first 30 minutes, to discuss issues of a personal nature. To contact a midwife, please ring the midwifery office at Babington Hospital on 01773 525085. |
Community Nurses
The Heanor Community Nurses visit the practice every day, working closely with the practice and can be contacted through reception if you need them. They are primarily available to give nursing care to patients in their homes, who are unable to attend the surgery. |
